The first and foremost design fair in Spain, Yecla Furniture Fair is set to occur from the 25th to the 28th of September. Inmaculada Hernandez is the director of the successful event which expects more than 4000 exhibitors from all corners of the world, including France, the Czech Republic, Romania, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Mexico and Taiwan. For the past three years, Spain’s best design fair has had in the lead role the premium showcase Channel Contract. Celebrated for 56 years, Yecla is not only the best furniture fair organised in Spain, but also the oldest one. The traditional source of income of the region was wine and due to a plague, a good part of the vines was destroyed, something that affected not only the farmers and winemakers but also the auxiliary industry. As a result, several carpenters and cabinet makers started making furniture and found out that the best way to achieve their goals was to commence a fair.
Spain’s best design fair makes sure to establish a particularly close collaboration with important institutions, such as the Promotion of the Region of Murcia, which together they consolidate bilateral meetings between international prescribers and exhibitors.
The representatives of Yecla Furniture Fair assure that everything is executed perfectly in advance and that those who are meant to occupy the stands of the two exhibition areas, habitat and contract, have been confirmed. Year after year, the interest of furniture professionals, merchants and prescribers increases, making Yecla a worthy reference within the interior design industry.
Regarding parallel events, the Interior Show Yecla is a continuing event that focuses on showcasing the high-quality productions of its exhibitors, even after the closing of the main exhibition. To this end, an iconic place of the city of Yecla is chosen and, through a very special assembly, they create a show directed to the prescribers of the contract channel. Known for taking the meaning of design to a new dimension, the company BIMBAMBUM is responsible for the development of this activity, which happens outdoors.
