Clerkenwell Design Week: Discover All About The 2019 Edition ⇒ From May 21-23, the creative London scene opens its doors to yet another edition of the famous Clerkenwell Design Week, located in London’s leading design district. This year’s event is set across seven exhibition spaces and includes venues such as The House of Detention, St James Church and Spa Fields. From luxury interiors to innovative lighting, emerging talent and the best of British brands, Best Design Guides brings you what you can’t miss during this upcoming Clerkenwell Design Week.
British Collection
British Collection is located in the Crypt of St James’s Church and showcases designers from all over the UK. Here you can expect to see exquisite materials, design excellence and craft techniques being executed in real life.
This year’s lineup of brands includes – Ercol, an iconic British furniture brand, that will exhibit their VON collection; kitchen designers, Pluck, will launch ‘Spoke’, which is inspired by Victorian bamboo furniture and is available in eleven laminate colours including a new palette of fresh yellow laminate with intense fumed oak; Benchmark, will be presenting their ‘OVO collection’ designed by Fosters + Partners in an ebony finish; Hand & Eye Studio will present the ‘O – Beam’ a collection inspired by ceramics; also make sure not to miss West & Reid, Forest & Maker, and Nathan Furniture.

Design Fields
Design Fields is located at the northern end of Clerkenwell, and in partnership with Kitchen Architecture, this year will be showcasing leading furniture, lighting, and product design, from around the world.
Don’t miss KitchenArchitecture’s new outdoor kitchen range by Roshult’s which is a unique interpretation of cooking and socialising outdoors. Make sure to also check – Tacchini‘s PASTILLES in collaboration with Studiopepe; Bauhaus; Danish company True North Designs, La Cividina and Ondarreta from Spain, and SilentLab, all displaying innovation and clever use of technology in their designs.

Light
‘Light’ is an exhibition dedicated to top international lighting brands within its cavernous brick vaults showcasing spectacular stand-alone installations.
Exhibitors include NOVE lighting who specialise in contemporary products using only natural, sustainable materials including cork from Portugal; the award-winning British brand Bert Frank; Swedish company ateljé Lyktan; Austrian based company XAL presenting their revolutionary Move It System; Graypants; John Hollington Design; Lomas Furniture; Syska; and ARKKI by Lovi.

Elements
‘Elements’ brings together a leading selection of ironmongery, hardware, switch plates and architectural accessories within a street-market style pavilion on St John’s Square.
This year’s list of brands showcasing includes – Australian brand TIRAR; Harbrine; Designer Doorware will present their multi-award-winning Monte Timber Collection; The Beardmore Collection; Aston Matthews; Dowsing & Reynolds; Hamilton Litestat; and Carrson International, and more.

If you are looking for fine craftsmanship and high glamour during CDW, Detail, is the one place to look out for, as they will be showcasing some of the most prestigious names in luxury interiors.
On the list of exhibitors, there’s – Sinclair Till; Swedish company Kasthall; Muraspec; Arte; Anna Hayman Designs; Danish furniture brand Cane-Line; Samuel Heath; Artwood; and Altfield.

Platform
‘Platform’ is located in the surroundings of The House of Detention – a former remand prison which opens for the public during CDW – where new design talent will be showcased.

Project
‘Project’ is set within the beautiful grounds of St James Church, and brings together a leading selection of contract furniture and surface brands from around the globe.
