Throughout his career, the French architect has created plenty of astonishing projects, such as museums, concert halls, theatres and hotels. The Imagine Institute starts a dialogue with the city by adding little reminders of its essence, such as Parisian roofs and trees. Featuring a poetic touch, this building is characterized by high precision light architecture which is a symbol of how research has advanced over the years.

Next, we have the Philharmonie de Paris, which is a £280 million building situated in Parc de La Villette and is best defined by its multi-tonal façade with interconnected bird-shaped tiles.

According to Jean Nouvel, the Museum of Advertising “(…) creates a metaphor of the city with a square, a street and buildings. It is based on the brutal affirmation of the materials that make up the interior of the Louvre”.

The Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art presents exhibits by established artists and offers young artists a chance to debut themselves. It is located at Raspail street in a glass building, surrounded by a modern woodland garden landscaped by Lothar Baumgarten.
