If you´re visiting the State of Florida, Melbourne’s a city that you don´t want to miss. With beautiful beaches, good food and environment, that’s quite a good choice for a summer relaxing vacations.
Here are a few suggestions of places that you should visit.
Hotels & Resorts
Fairfield Inn and Suites Melbourne Palm Bay/Viera is located in 4355 West New Haven Avenue. They were the “2011 Diamond Award Winner”.
Double Tree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront is a comfortable and conveniently located 3-star hotel.
Crane Creek Inn Waterfront Bed and Breakfast (907 E. Melbourne Avenue) is a very welcoming hotel. In fact, a great place to stay.
What not to lose
Brevard Zoo – Treetop Trek, 8225 North Wickham Road.
Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands at Viera. If you like wild life and adventure, you’ll find it all here. There are alligators and a lot of wild birds in this place. You better watch out. 😉 (10001 Wickham Road)
Melbourne Square Mall is not a fancy place and it’s even a little small but very inviting in fact. Has stores like Victoria Secret, Gap, and Strabucks.
Antoinette Unique Interiors, located in 1910 Municipal Lane Melbourne.
Down Town Divas. You can find it in 847 E New Haven Avenue. Love the way they define the store in its site: “Not recommended for women who wish to go unnoticed.” And nothing’s left to say.
The Chandlery, 911 E New Haven Avenue.
Restaurants and bars
House of Joe, 1220 West New Haven Avenue.
Meg O’Malley’s Restaurant 5*, 812 E. New Haven Avenue.
Thai Thai Restaurant, 2447 N Wickham Road.
Burger Inn, 1819 N Harbor City Blvd. This seems to be the “best burger around”.
And if you happened to be on the city on April, don’t miss the Melbourne Art Festival (only April’s last weekend). Not the best art festival you’re going to see in your entire life, but good enough.
Well, I wish you all a great stay at Melbourne. I hope you like. Have fun.
