In Dubai, the Downtown Design opens its doors between 25 and 28 October. This is the commercial heart of Dubai Design Week 2016 and it presents an accurate roster of already established or emerging brands. The event will present over more than 15 different product categories including furniture, textiles, lighting, bathrooms, kitchens and accessories. Best Design Guides will introduce to you the top 3 lightning pieces to discover during this week.
This is the fourth edition of the event and it will bring together over more than 100 brands, from 30 different countries, allowing visitors to discover a wide diversity of contemporary design. From iconic international brands, through unique pieces by designers featured for the very first time on the international design circuit.

1) Luna Suspension Lamp by Serip
A stunning lighting creation from the sophisticated and slim Luna Collection by Serip. Its design stands out because of its ability to transform organic shapes inspired in nature into a beautiful, exquisite lighting design. The indirect LED lighting irradiates the circles of glass lets the observer wonder where the light really comes from.

3) The Grasshopper by Klove
The majestic Grasshopper is a great example of the mid-century modern design by Klove. It’s an exquisite and a truly contemporary lighting piece, specifically, Grasshopper is a set of 5 pieces hanging down by triangular wooden plates. This piece has smooth sepia and warm tones of the wood, that are highlighted by some edgy rose gold details achieving an authentic contemporary design sculpture.
