Discover Trisara, The Ultimate Luxury Destination in Thailand ⇒ The new Trisara Hotel is the ultimate luxury destination that makes you feel like you’re entering your own little slice of paradise, with its low-key glamour and sleek design. Located in Phuket’s north-west coast, the hotel is equipped with 60 villas, each with their own grey marble pool and stunning ocean views, every guest can have the privacy it always wanted.

The Trisara is incredibly private and bespoke with 60 villas, each with their own grey marble pool, and stunning ocean views – spread far apart. While you’ll be tempted to stay put, in the luxury cocoon of your villa, the public areas are wonderful places to explore – beautifully landscaped with wide, breezy pavilions, pools of water with lily pad boxes, dramatic staircases and leafy walkways.
Set into a hillside, views over the shimmering cove below are spectacular, yet the resort also has a jungle feel with an abundance of tropical blooms, lofty trees and waterfalls. In fact, it is spread across 14 hectares of nature reserve and tropical gardens, giving the idea that at any moment you can get lost amid the lushness. Throughout, traditional Thai details have also been incorporated – from teak wood finishing to stone carvings salvaged from ancient temples or buildings. The attention to detail is ‘quietly’ stylish, and once you notice all the nods to ancient times, you won’t fail to be impressed.
In the villas, beds are huge and positioned to make the most of the views across the private pool and to the ocean beyond. The colour palette of gold, amber and burnt orange is tasteful, while bowls of lotus flowers, scented orchids and gilded sculptures give pops of colour to lift the pared-back feel.
Bathrooms are a knock-out with double sinks, huge walk-in wardrobe areas and even seating, which is lined with silk cushions, making them feel more like your own private spa. Talking of which, the Jara Spa here is one of the best in Thailand, with treatment rooms opening out to their own gardens. The signature six-handed Royal Trisara massage will give an out-of-body experience, and for those wanting something more personal, the highly trained therapists can adapt the menu to your needs.
While Trisara lends itself to checking-in and chilling out, it is also hot on providing inventive guest experiences inspired by Thailand’s heritage. There are Thai boxing lessons to be had, in a professional Muay Thai Boxing ring, with some of the country’s best experts and early morning yoga sessions on the beach. Making most of its focus on dining is a new immersive culinary experience which sees guests being whisked off on a foraging discovery trip by private yacht and into heritage homes to meet local ‘mamas’ who share authentic recipes that have been passed down over the generations.
In fact, the ethos of locality is key for chefs who seek fresh produce from local farmers and fishermen, as well as from their own working farm. Here, chefs select bok choy, fresh dill seeds and nasturtium petals from raised garden beds, and forage nearby wildlands for exotic fruits and vegetables – all to be served up later in one of three restaurants.
Pru, meanwhile, is the acclaimed Trisara’s elevated dining option, headed up by celebrated forager-turned-chef Jimmy Ophorst, who originally came from The Netherlands. Inspired by Phuket’s legacy as a culinary crossroads and by the island’s unique terroir, his aim is to elevate farm-to-table cooking to a new level.
