A Rum Fellow is a London based interiors company, creating unique pieces featuring spectacular tribal textiles. The new collection launching at CDW showcases Mayan fabrics from Guatemala across a luxury range of chairs, cushions and lampshades. With heritage and authenticity at the heart of the brand, A Rum Fellow celebrates ancient tribal craft in the production of timeless pieces that will be the talking point of any room.In the tradition of British explorers A Rum Fellow founders Caroline and Dylan travel to distant lands in search of authentic craft and design to infuse into their collections. Each year they introduce a new collection informed by a recently explored country or region. The first collection brought them to the Andean mountains and Amazon rainforests of Peru, where they worked with tribal artisans to form stunning and truly unique collection.
The Mayan collection is a riot of colour and pattern, each textile is an artwork in itself, meticulously crafted by hand using techniques passed down through generations. Celebrating and supporting traditional craft, A Rum Fellow works with weaving cooperatives, social enterprises and charities promoting female artisans. Every item throughout the collection is rich in heritage, but not tied to the past: a piece the children will fight over. |
