Hirosaki

Hirosaki was the political and cultural capital of the Tsugaru region. The city remains one of the most culturally rich cities in the Tohoku Region North. Hirosaki developed around its castle, Hirosaki Castle. Several thousand cherry trees are planted around the castle grounds, making it one of the most spectacular spots cherry blossom in Japan. The trees are usually in bloom in late April and early May.
