Ana Proença and Célia Mestre founded the studio Spacemakers in 2005, in Lisbon, Portugal with the aim of providing the best design solutions to fulfil spaces with an environment of high aesthetic standards and functional quality. The dynamic duo of architects and interior designers designed this outstanding retreat to be the refuge of a family during the weekends. Lighting enthusiasts can also expect the presence of the unique brand, DelightFULL with ingenious and luminous masterpieces.
From the perspective of the owners, space should be contemporary yet with a vintage touch due to the integration of several mid-century pieces that were part of the owner’s private collection, like the neoclassical chest in the reading corner which combines perfectly with the armchair and footrest designed by Charles Eames.
The SINATRA floor lamp plays an important role in the décor strengthing and improving the elegance and simplicity that was intended for this space.
The project was carefully designed from the choice of finishes and noble materials to the furniture selection and its assembly, as well as monitoring the works. The house was conceived on a single floor and it distinguishes itself by modern architecture and clean lines, featuring large spaces and exquisite lighting fixtures.
The dining area has a set of chairs that belonged to the owner’s family which combines perfectly with the dining table, having a golden structure and finished in ironwood, that was designed by Atelier Spacemakers.
The Pendant Lamp COLTRANE designed by DelightFULL with minimalist lines and with a black and gold finish emerges as an element that, besides being functional, it is a decorative and sculptural object that stands out for its simplicity.
The game and cinema room opens to the living room where we can be impressed by the Veuve Clicquot snooker table, as well as the DUKE Suspension Lamp designed by DelightFULL which is a remarkable piece that gives a new sensation of scale.
