The Venice Design Week (VDW) brings together many events that take place in the beautiful Italian city of Venice from the 7th to the 15th of October. Designers and design companies from all over the world are invited to feature in exhibitions, competitions, and special events. Visitors to the Venice Design Week can visit exhibitions of contemporary design and at the same time explore the hidden corners of Venice, discover how the ancient objects were designed and decorated. The VDW team organize unique visits both inside and outside museums. And, as usual, Best design Guides will show you the very best that’s happening as we speak in Venice.

Giusi Castaldo

Since 2012 she is the architect and co-founder of the Unisono Produzioni association, which operates in the field of cinema, design and artistic training for the social. Her latest project is Little Tu, a table lamp that won the Iron A ‘Design Award 2017 prize. Giusi Castaldo will be present with her product at the exhibition “Light = Emotions”
XFrame Studio, Federico Sutera
Xframe studio is run by Federico Sutera, a photographer specialized in documentary and commercial photography. The studio was created in 2011 and is located on the Giudecca Island. Federico documentary photography is often focused on social themes associated with the Venetian territory and the environment. During the Venice Design Week, the studio will host “Residual”, a project by architect João L. Moreira and “Venice for Sale”, a photo project by Federico Sutera.
Aisegul Telli

Aisegul Telli is an Istanbul based jewelry artist graduated in Chemistry in 2009. She found herself seeking for an appropriate language to transform her emotions and impressions into contemporary art. She delivered projects from darkroom to digital underwater photography, fashion styling to watercolor painting. In 2014, she launched her first collection of pieces called Undersurface inspired from her diving sessions in the Indian Ocean. Her jewelry has been exhibited in countries such as Italy, France, Lithuania, Brazil, Belgium, China, United States and Turkey.
Simona Materi

Simona Materi was born in 1971 in Caserta, she lives and works in Molise in Venafro (IS) since 2001 in her jewelry and art design studio. She has participated in numerous national and international contemporary jewelry exhibitions, in important public and private institutions curated by AGC, and other contemporary art and calcography organizations from 2004 to present. Absorption is a transparent plexiglass collar disc of 36cm. work represents figuratively, the absorption of the motion of the calm waters of the lake the movement towards another body as a result of prolonged visual contact.
Nobahar Design

The word “nobahar” means new-spring, symbol of rebirth, renewal and regrowth. These are the base on which Nobahar Design was born. Each design is build on a strong concept and every idea is translated into a meaningful appearance. Nobahar Design is based on mix and match, combination of tradition and innovation in every aspect: materials, designs and concepts. FITWTL brooch is produced by Additive Manufacturing technique. Because this technology is energy-efficient and waste-free that perhaps it is the savior that we need to save our environment from the hazards of technology.
Michele Malin Design

Michele Malin was born in Rovigo in 1981. During the studies his interest goes to the design world, so in 2003 he gets a degree in “industrial design” at the Padua University. When he was just 24 years old he creates his menswear brand called “miniMALINsm. Fashion Wear For different people.”, establishing in the following years various partnerships with stylists and fashion ateliers.
TONON & C.

Since 1926 TONON, a leader in the chairs and tables market, represents the Italian style based on design, quality, and solidity. The decor ability is the element of strength in common to all the products of the company, proposing original solutions through the continuous research for new materials and technologies. In April 2016 the riverside model was presented for the first time during “Salone del Mobile Milano” and in short, the time has been awarded 7 design prizes. Riverside’s organic design with 3D geometry is inspired by nature.
